The Director’s of Optimum recognise that the construction industry can be dangerous, as a result the Health & Safety of everyone involved in and affected by our operations is our number-one priority, it is central to the sustainability of the business.
The company Director’s review the safety performance of the business on a monthly basis. Continuous improvement is required throughout Optimum in the Health & Safety of our employees, contractors and customers.
Increasingly we recognise the importance of behavioural change in creating a safe working environment. We are building a culture in which our employees & contractors believe that safety is the number one priority.
To assist with the development, promoting and monitoring of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality measures Optimum are in the process of establishing an Integrated Management System (IMS), which will be certified to the following international standards:
ISO 14001:2004 – Environment
ISO 9001:2008 – Quality
OHSAS 18001:2007 – Health & Safety
